ORQUESTA VIGO 430

The Orquesta Vigo 430 was born in 2005 with the purpose of providing Vigo with a symphonic orchestra nourished mainly by the new generations of Galician musicians.

During the 2018/2019 season, Andrea González managed as technical director its three formations Symphony, Baroque and Chamber Music. The program included concerts such as Verdi’s Macbeth performed with the Friends of the Vigo Opera, a Mozart monographic with María Florea (violin), Sara Ferrández (viola) and Tomàs Graus (conductor), Vivaldi’s Gloria with Lina Tur Bonet or a concert by the Turkish pianist Aysedeniz Gökcin fusing the rock of Pink Floyd and Queen with Mozart, among others.

During this season, the orchestra intensified its communication campaign and incorporated a package of parallel activities that built up the loyalty of the Vigo public through meetings with the artists at the Café Vitruvia, hand programs with musicological notes and pre-concert talks.
