CAMIÑOS SONOROS

Cycle of concerts that unites music and heritage on the Camino de Santiago by talented young musicians from the music conservatories of Galicia. It also offers innovative training that educates young people to protect, preserve and disseminate cultural heritage through lectures on communicating in public, using social networks, entrepreneurship and meetings with leading artists. The concerts complement the experience with handheld programs that include information about the venues, the repertoire and musical tips.
The Department of Culture and Tourism of the Xunta de Galicia, in its programming of Xacobeo 2021 and under the direction of Andrea González, organized in 2019 the first edition of Camiños Sonoros with 40 concerts in 16 Galician towns located on the Vía de la Plata.
Besides the students of the conservatories, Camiños Sonoros counted with the pianist Abe Rábade, the bagpipe player Susana Seivane and the accordionist Víctor Prieto as ambassador artists, and the collaboration of actors from the Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Galicia. A total of 150 artists created unique shows in historical spaces along the Camino de Santiago.
